Joe Perez
Joe Perez is the founder of Culture Jam. He is a professional blues harmonica and conga player with over 20 years of experience. Over the years he’s had the pleasure of performing with some of the best musicians and vocalist in the music industry today. He is well respected among his peers and venue ownership for his integrity and musical product.
Terelle Todd
Drums
Terrelle Todd was raised in San Antonio. He literally grew up playing drums. According to his mother, when he was a baby he’d play drums on pots and pans. Terrelle is a self taught drummer. He played drums all through school. In high school he played in band, as well as sports. Terrelle began playing in his church at a young age. Something he continues to do til this day. He joined Culture Jam in 2022. He is married and loves spending time with his children while also working as an entrepreneur.
Johnny Guitierrez
Guitar / Vocals
Johnny started playing professionally in 1980 with USAF Chapel Services as a contract musician. He continued this for 10 years, In 1994 he was invited to play with the SAFD band, mentoring and performing at schools in San Antonio and surrounding areas. He studied classical guitar in college under the direction of Terry Muska. He has done studio work and is currently serving with his church and the Worship Team. He has played alongside Kirk Whalum, who showed up at church during his Christmas Tour. Johnny has been with Culture Jam since it’s inception and will continue as long as possible.
Tony Hernandez grew up in El Paso, TX. At an early age he learned to play guitar, bass, drums and timbales. But he is best known for his vocal skills. While raising a family, he performed and sang in several bands in El Paso. He moved to New Braunfels, TX four years ago. He joined Culture Jam in 2022 as male vocalist and musician. He is also much sought after KJ and DJ. He is an Officer in the Texas Guard and holds an MBA from Oral Roberts University.

Michael Gerick
Keyboards / Vocals
Michael Gerick is San Antonio's number-one variety band keyboardist. He studied Jazz Music at Trinity Univeristy. He toured nationwide, performing at top venues like the House of Blues and Lollapalooza, with School of Rock. He transcribes and directs the music, so you get an exciting show and excellent soundtrack at your event.
Roland is a professional bassist, guitarist, singer and songwriter with over 35 years of experience as a studio and live performance musician. Roland credits his mother for his love of music. At a very young age, he spent hours listening to her vast vinyl record collection and was mesmerized by what he heard. Recognizing his growing passion, his mother bought him his first bass guitar at 14 years old. Roland is forever indebted to his mother for being a major influence and supporter in his musical career. As a veteran of the Los Angeles, CA music scene, Roland has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Johnny Rivers (‘Secret Agent Man’), Tommy Roe (‘Dizzy’, ‘Shelia’), Sylvie Vartan, Lee Rocker (Stray Cats), Richard Street (The Temptations), Johnny Tillotson (‘Poetry In Motion’) and Mary Wilson (The Supremes). Roland hails from San Antonio, TX and serves as Culture Jam's bassist and vocalist.
